Mostahfiz Gani has a Bachelors degree in Usul-Ad-Din and Usul-al Fiqh from the Institut Européen des Sciences Humaines, France. He later completed his MA in Islamic studies at the University of Birmingham. Shaykh Mostahfiz has worked as a Youth Coordinator at Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland in Dublin and Arabic language and Islamic studies teacher at Al-Hijra School, Birmingham. He has recently completed his Primary PGCE at Kingston University and is pursuing his PhD on Ibn Ashur and Maqasid al-Sharia.
He is one of the teachers of the Islamic Institute for Development and Research (IIDR).
Shaykh Mostahfiz started Islamic work when he was a teenager, which is still a great source of inspiration for him. As he has been inspired by his parents, Shaykh Mostahfiz strongly believes in the potential of the youth and understands how essential it is to contribute to their education. He is currently working as a Primary school teacher and heads the Youth Group at Kingston Mosque.
